My region Saraz is one of a kind

Wait! O wanderer! Why are you anxious?

Poverty is common in my region Saraz

How would this misfortune pass?

Slowly shall this pass. There’s no way out.

Hindus and Muslims live together

In togetherness they work and earn

This is how our brotherhood is

People sell their lands to educate their children

How shall the time pass without a job

This state causes a lot of sorrow

How shall we live through this time?

The God who created you

Will know your state one day

Don’t fret over me. You’ll grow frail

Jaimal Sarazi composes theis song

And sings them among people

People have just arrived

This is a patriotic folk song composed by Jaimal Singh. It describes love for the region of Saraz despite its tough terrain and hard life.

Mulk saraj mano bodo niraalo ho

Balgi ga be maanuaa tu bue ki kalalo ho

Mulk saraz mane bodi garibi ho

Kamri eng katueli badnasibi ho

Balle balle katni chhi ji kyun charo ho

Hindu musalmaan sab akothe raan chha ho

Rallli millitaa milli juritaa kam kamaan chha ho

Emri eng chho ji asaav bhaai chaaro ho

Zimmi bande bechitaa zane mathe padaaye ho

Nokri naa melle vakt kamri tapaay ho

Galti eng tengi borri mushkil boya ho

Ene kathaa herita bo chho jaalo ho

Ao kukri ho burian nisso shoye ho

Kamri ho kerno chho aay guzaaro ho

Zani parmeshvare tu paidaa kere ho

Ek di eng haal tuno zaruri here ho

Meni fikr na tu keriya sukki gaalo ho

Jaimal sarazi eng geet banaan chho ho

Saare i lokane maa gaaitaa sabne sunaan chho ho

Massa massa aj aay meli bari ho
