The Ramnamis are a community who are devotees of Ram naam (the name Ram). For them chanting the name Ram is the sole means of worship, devotion and salvation. They are followers not of Ram the son of Dashrath , but the Universal Being inherent in Ram naam. Their living environment is with Ram naam- from their clothes, homes, bodies, they are rapt in the name Ram.
