Jadu

Jadu is like porridge. Prepared with Palti (buckwheat) flour, the batter is cooked in a pot. While on the fire it has to be constantly stirred. Jadu is a staple food of the Bhotia community.

Marcha (Tea)

Bhotia food is influenced by Tibetan food owing to their trade relations. Marcha tea is very similar to the Tibetan salted tea. Marcha is a prepared of a herb/tea called Bhakto tea, butter and salt in a wooden vessel.
