The images are from the personal collection of Tanjavur K.P. Kittappa Pillai's family, who is a direct descendent of the Tanjore Quartet. K.P. Kittappa Pillai is the seventh generation of Chinniah of the Quartet and is himself an accomplished bharatanatyam teacher, choreographer and composer.
