It delves into the pastoral traditions of the North by understanding the shifts in the culture of cattle rearing from the colonial period right up to the livestock fair at Pushkar. A series of images from the Pushkar cattle fair and a video provided by Rupayan Sansthan, Jodhpur, of a livestock fair in Tilwara, offer a look into the proceedings of livestock traditions in India, providing us a glimpse of the changing cattle culture of North India.
