बैगा समुदाय की महिलाएं परिवार की आजीविका के लिए जंगलों से लकड़ी लाकर बेचने का काम करती हैं, उन कस्बों और छोटे शहरों के पास यदि बैगा जनजाति निवास करती है तो उनके लिए आजीविका का बेहतर साधन होता है| पर ये काफ़ी मेहनत का कार्य है| सुबह 4 बजे से महिलाये लकड़ी लेने जंगल जाती हैं और 6 से 7 बजे के दौरान वापस आती हैं| फिर लकड़ियों को लेकर बेचने जाती हैं और उससे जो पैसा मिलता है उससे घर के लिए सामान खरीद कर वापस जाती हैं, और खाना बनाती हैं (सौजन्य: अमीन चार्ल्स)
